T100TA 32GB Recovery Partition Notes

some users might have to send their T100TA to ASUS for repair. when they get it back, they find out that their SSD has a new 8GB recovery partition on it, and wasnt there before. the 32GB T100TA actually contains a hidden 8GB recovery drive embedded inside of the unit, and is only unhidden when a user performs a system refresh or reset. on a 64GB T100TA, the recovery partition is on the SSD itself and as such, this variant doesnt have an embedded recovery drive like the 32GB version. there have been 2 confirmed users who have received their units back from ASUS restored back to the original, proper way; myself being one of them. how to unhide this partition : bring up the charms bar, open Search and type in Recovery select Recovery Options underneath the Refresh section, click "Get started" as soon as the banner with "Preparing" appears, press cancel right away close this and enter Disk Managment (diskmgmt.msc) you should see a new Disk that is ...

death

I cried this morning after reading some AC/DC wiki on members n shit. Weird but yeah just waking up reading, getting my brain to work and this happened. I read that one of the members was replaced by his nephew due to dimentia. I think that when I read that he was replaced by the next generation aka his family member I instantly thought about when I die, about my wife and kids and anyone else that is in my life. I have realized that I am scared of death and losing you all. I always wonder what will I do when I am dead. And what will you guys do when I am no longer around. It has kind of consumed me. I love life and I love my small family. I never want it to be the end. Especially that my first kid is growing up it makes me realize how fast time goes. I enjoy all of your company even if I am in a salty mood. The truth is that I love you all deep inside and you are what makes me get up every morning and live. Family, and whatever friends, coworkers I may have left.

gear/setup

i think i have peaked in terms of tech. i have the best setup going on right now when it comes to the computer thing. sometimes i think this is almost cyberpunkish. once upon a time i used to dream and wish that i had a laptop, or some kind of pocketable handheld computer. ive had the dell axim x51v and the eee pc 701. those were great devices at the time but they all had their proprietary chargers. i dont have to deal with that shit anymore. my pocket 2 and my pixel 3a xl both use usb type-c connectors (and are PD compliant). combined with the huge backup battery that i have, i can power both devices longer. heres some images of "whats in my bag": GPD Pocket 2, Aukey dual type-C charger, 2x 6ft type-C cables, RAVPower 20100mAh battery, Startech USB 3 ethernet adapter, and 3DS to USB cable This battery was purchased 2.5 years ago and is still going strong.
